This band got their start in Ontario, Canada as a NOFX cover band in 1996. The band consisted of Deryck Whibley (Lead Vocals, Rythm Guitar, Piano), Steve Jocz (Drums, Back-up Vocals), Marc Costanzo (Lead Guitar), and Mark Spicoluk (Bass, Back-up Vocals). In 1997, they replaced Mark Costanzo with Dave Baksh and Mark Spicoluk with Richard Roy. By 1998, the band decided to be their own band as a pop/punk/rock band and started creating songs only to release a DVDs within 2 years: Introduction to Destruction. They also replaced Richard Roy with Jason McCaslin in the same year. On May 8th of 2001, the band finally released a full length album titled All Killer No Filler. This album rocketed them into the music charts with their hit song "Fat Lip" which topped the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Chart. In 2002, they released their second album Does This Look Infected? which came with their DVD Cross The T's and Gouge Your I's.
In 2004, they released the album Chuck in honor of a peacekeeper in Congo. The album hit #16 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Chart. In 2006, Dave Baksh was replaced with Tom Thacker who also played the piano/keyboard. Later, on July 24th of 2007, their newest album Underclass Hero was released which brought the band back to more of their punk/pop sound. The album hit #7 in the US Charts which was their highest position to date. They are currently working on their new album with a confirmed 20 songs that are up for debate on which ones will make the cut.
